SAN FRANCISCO (KRON/CNN) – San Francisco-based Lyft is launching its all-access monthly plan but there’s a catch.

They’re offering riders $299 subscriptions for 30 rides a month but that’s only for trips worth up to $15 dollars each.

If a ride costs more, the rider pays the difference.

The subscription service has been in the works since earlier this year.

On average, the company says users will save up to $5 per ride with the monthly plan.
