Ginsburg released from hospital after fractured rib treatment

WASHINGTON (NBC) — Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was released from the hospital Friday, a day after she was admitted and treated for three fractured ribs following a fall in her office.

Ginsburg, 85, planned to work from home Friday.

Ginsburg went home after the Wednesday night fall but then went to George Washington University Hospital on Thursday morning after experiencing discomfort.

Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on her left side and was admitted to the hospital for observation and treatment.
