RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The body of a toddler who was found dead inside a suitcase in New Jersey earlier this month has been identified as a 2-year-old Richmond girl who was last seen in August 2017.

On March 21, Richmond Police announced that 2-year-old Te’Myah Plummer and her father, Travis Plummer, were missing but not believed to be in danger.

Police said Te’Myah Plummer was last seen by Richmond-based family members in August 2017 and may have relocated with her father to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County area of North Carolina or Jersey City, N.J.

On Wednesday, April 13, authorities in New Jersey announced that a baby had been found dead in a suitcase under a footbridge in Jersey City.

ABC7 in New York reported Monday that the child had been identified as Te’Myah Plummer.

Authorities later announced that her father, Travis Plummer, was arrested in Puerto Rico on April 19 and is awaiting extradition proceedings to Hudson County.
