PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — BB&T Bank says a technical glitch is impacting some of its services.
In a statement on its website, the bank said online banking, mobile banking app, ATMs and an automated phone service were unavailable because of the issue. They do not believe it was a cyber-security issue.
As of Friday, BB&T’s website says their automated Phone24 service and ATMs are now available. Accounts should be fully updated by the end of the day Friday.
They’ve extended the hours for most of their locations until 7 p.m. Friday and an additional two hours on Saturday to help answer questions and concerns.
