NAGS HEADS, N.C. (WAVY) — Officials in one Outer Banks town are kindly asking visitors to not do this.

Nags Head officials posted a photo to Facebook Tuesday afternoon showing a massive hole in front of a tent set-up. The hole in the photo — which was taken around 5 p.m. Monday — had been left unattended for the day, according to the post.

Officials said it took three lifeguards around 20 minutes to fill up the hole.

The town included a some advice for beachgoers:

1. Do not dig holes this big and don’t dig them deep.
2. If your day won’t be complete without digging a hole in the sand, FILL IT IN before you leave the beach, even for 5 minutes. Don’t be the cause of someone getting hurt or worse.
3. Don’t even think about leaving this on the beach overnight.
