Missing Spotsylvania man found safe

UPDATE (8/26/18): Tyson has been found safe by police.


BATH COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police are looking for an elderly man from Spotsylvania County who may be in danger. 

Police say 88-year-old James Oliver Tyson went missing late yesterday in Bath County.

State Police say he may be in a 2007 Red Chevy Pickup truck with Virginia Plates J9024. 

He suffers from a cognitive impairment and may need medical treatment. That’s why State Police say he may be in danger. 

Tyson was said to have been wearing a short-sleeve, light-blue button up shirt, khaki or brown pants and brown dress shoes.

He’s described at 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 210 pounds with blue eyes and white hair
