Coast Guard releases about 25 rescued turtles back into Gulf Stream

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Coast Guard Cutter Richard Snyder partnered with Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium to release rescued turtles back into the Gulf Stream.

In January, the crew released about 25 turtles that had been found wounded or stranded inland, nursed back to health and brought to warmer waters.
