CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A man was seriously injured after police say he was shot in the back Sunday night in a Chesapeake neighborhood.
Chesapeake police say officers were called about a shooting in the the 2000 block of Bethel Road just before 9 p.m. When they arrived to the scene, they learned the victim was transported to Chesapeake Regional Medical Center by a family member.
Once police found the victim at the hospital, they learned the victim had been shot in the back and was suffering from possible life-threatening injuries.
Medics transferred him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
