Man shot in stomach during shooting in Williamsburg; suspect in custody

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — One suspect is in custody after a shooting Sunday morning on Priorslee Lane. 

Police say they responded to the area around 10 a.m. in reference to shots fired. 

After arriving on scene, police located one victim who had been shot in the stomach. They were transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center and are expected to survive. 

Police say they’ve arrested 28-year-old Michael Goff and charged him with attempted malicious wounding and unlawful use of a firearm. 

Goff is being held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
