Man robs Shell gas station in Newport News at gunpoint

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Police are searching for an unknown man who robbed a Shell gas station on Warwick Boulevard at gunpoint Wednesday night. 

According to Newport News police, the man entered the gas station, located at 10901 on Warwick, just before 10 p.m. 

The clerk of the store, who was the lone clerk at the time, told police the man came in with a gun drawn and took an unknown amount of cash from the register. The clerk was not injured.
