VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A man accused of carjacking a Virginia Beach woman at knifepoint pleaded guilty in court on Monday.
Virginia Beach Police said Antonio Jones approached a woman putting groceries in her car on April 27, threatened her with a knife and made her hand over her car keys and purse. Jones allegedly sped out of the parking, hitting at least one car in the process.
Jones was arrested the next day, and charged with carjacking, robbery, hit-and-run and grand larceny.
The grand larceny charge against Jones was nolle prossed in June.
Jones is scheduled to be sentenced on December 10.
