Man injured in shooting on West Avenue in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a man will be OK after he was shot in Norfolk Monday evening.

Norfolk Police said officers responded to 2500 block of West Avenue just 7:30 p.m., and found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Medics took the man to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he is expected to recover. 

Information on a motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting was not immediately available.
