CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A man charged with leading police on a chase that ended with a crash on the High Rise Bridge was found not guilty on charges of reckless driving and no driver’s license, but he was convicted on several other charges.
Joshua Oglesby was found guilty of felony eluding, speeding and possession of marijuana during Thursday’s court hearing, according to Chesapeake Commonwealth’s Attorney Nancy Parr.
Chesapeake police say officers tried to stop Oglesby back in October after spotting him down Georgetown Boulevard and Military Highway. Oglesby took off toward I-64. He side-swiped three vehicles before losing control and crashing on the High Rise Bridge.
Oglesby is scheduled for a pre-sentencing on June 8.
