Fatal Virginia Beach Crash - Great Neck

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A man accused in a fatal crash last month in Virginia Beach was denied bond at a hearing Thursday.

Anthony Spence was charged with driving while intoxicated, involuntary manslaughter, hit-and-run and refusing a blood/breath test for the June 3 crash.

Police said 73-year-old Maria Grayson Fox, of Virginia Beach, was making a turn onto Great Neck Road when she got hit by Spence’s car.

Spence drove away, but officers caught him a short time later. He’s scheduled to go back in front of a judge on Aug. 10.
