Man arrested for shooting on Leo Street

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police have arrested a man for a shooting that left a juvenile injured Friday night. 

Detectives say at around 11:52 p.m., police responded to a gunshot disturbance in the 2500 block of Leo Street. When police arrived, they encountered several people who were inside of a residence that had been stuck by gunfire.

A short time later, a juvenile who was in the area of the shooting, walked into CHKD with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the hand. 

Police later arrested 25-year-old Marvin Williams, of the 2500 block of Masi Street, and charged him with malicious wounding, attempted malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied building and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He is currently being held at the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
