Man arrested after shots fired in Virginia Beach on Halloween

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Halloween night turned violent for one Virginia Beach resident.

Jordan Mulder was arrested on Oct. 31 after reports were made that he was “messing with a car” in the 3000 block of Belle Haven Drive

The owner, on the scene, decided to confront Mulder after making a report to police. That’s when police say Mulder became violent. Mulder allegedly assaulted the owner and fired multiple rounds from a handgun.

Several police units responded, including K-9 units. Police say Mulder then became combative with officers before being arrested.

He was charged with discharging a firearm in a public place, simple assault, and simple assault on a law enforcement officer and the carrying of a concealed weapon.
