Man accused of lighting Molotov cocktail on Newport News porch

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Police say they’ve arrested a man who lit a Molotov cocktail on someone’s porch.

Officers arrested 50-year-old Dwayne Claud Tuesday and charged him with manufacturing or possessing an explosive, and attempted arson.

According to Lt. Applewhite with the Newport News Fire Marshal’s Office, the incident happened the same day, around 4:50 p.m., at a home in the 2300 block of Oak Avenue.
