HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Lumber Liquidators, the largest specialty retailer of hardwood flooring in North America, announced Tuesday that the company will be moving its headquarters from Toano to Henrico County in late 2019.
According to a press release, the company will be closing its finishing operations in Toano within the next six-to-eight months, which will impact approximately 45 employees.
To facilitate the transformation, the company has entered into an agreement with a third-party vendor that will be purchasing the equipment and will also supply Lumber Liquidators with finished flooring.
“We are pleased that Lumber Liquidators has decided to locate its headquarters in Henrico’s mid-town neighborhood,” Frank Thornton, Chairman of the Henrico County Board of Supervisors, said. “We thank Lumber Liquidators for their continued confidence in Henrico; we know this is a location where they will grow and prosper.”
The new Henrico facility will house approximately 200 employees, according to the release.
The company also plans to relocate its Toano retail location to the Williamsburg area in 2019.
