Local, state leaders announce ‘unified’ effort on gaming legislation


RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) — State lawmakers have returned to the capitol for the second week of this year’s General Assembly session.

One of the issues expected to be on the table concerns gaming legislation.

Local delegates and state senators were on-hand to announce an effort to bring casinos to three localities: Portsmouth, Bristol and Danville.
