Summer is here, school is almost out, and that means shelters will be filling up.
Those who run local domestic violence and homeless shelters tell 10 On Your Side there are several reasons they see many more people flocking to them for help this time of year.
Some parents stay in a bad situation until the kids finish school, then leave as soon as summer break hits.
Others who are living in hotels see their rates triple during tourist season and they can no longer afford to stay.
If you would like to help, all local shelters could use food, clothing and money to cover costs.
