WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Williamsburg.

According to police, the call for the auto-pedestrian crash came in around 10:40 p.m. on July 22 in the 800 block of Merrimac Trail.

A preliminary investigation from Virginia State Police revealed that a female pedestrian “walked in front” of a 2011 Dodge sedan.

The pedestrian was flown to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No further information has been released.
