VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Police in Virginia Beach have arrested and charged a man for a bank robbery at a Wells Fargo branch Tuesday afternoon.
A Virginia Beach Police spokesperson confirmed officers responded to the branch in the 300 block of Little Neck Road — just off N. Plaza Trail — around 1:50 p.m.
The suspect entered the bank carrying what police described as an “edged weapon” and demanded money, but he left before he got any.
Officers responded to the scene and took the suspect into custody, with the help of citizens.
Police identified the suspect as 36-year-old Tobias Hill of Virginia Beach. He has been charged with robbery.
