Police: 1 seriously injured, 2 detained for questioning in Virginia Beach shooting

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Police are investigating a shooting that left one man with life-threatening injuries Saturday evening.

The call came in just after 5:30 p.m. for the incident in the 900 block of Atlantis Drive in Virginia Beach.

Officers responded to the scene and located the man suffering from a life-threatening injury from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital by EMS.

The preliminary investigation provided detectives with information that led them to detain two individuals, they were both transported to police headquarters for questioning.

This investigation is still evolving, no further details are available at this time.
