A witness who spoke with 10 On Your Side off camera said they saw two cars pull into the parking lot, driven by people that were not staying at the hotel. Two women started to fight before one man opened fire on another man at close range, the witness said.
According to the witness, there was a toddler in one of the cars.
“It’s sad, I mean anytime a life is gone it’s always sad,” explained another witness, A.J. Ayy.
Ayy says his 7-year-old son woke him up after hearing the pops.
“It actually happened a little bit away from my door like I said we heard the pops from that point we put everybody in the back, and when I looked there was not much else going on, like I said, I heard the guy talking about ‘get me a towel,’ we kind of just stayed to ourselves at that point,” Ayy stated.
