1 infant, 3 adults injured in crash on Newtown Rd in Va. Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — One infant and three adults were injured Tuesday afternoon in a crash on Newtown Road in Virginia Beach.

Virginia Beach Police said officers were called to the scene of a crash in the 600 block of Newtown Road just before 12:30 p.m.

An SUV leaving a parking lot was crossing over Newtown Road when it struck the driver’s side of a sedan. Firefighters had to remove the driver of the SUV following the crash, police said.

The four people hospitalized following the crash had not life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the SUV has been cited for failure to yield.
