Suffolk man injured in Sunday morning shooting

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured Sunday morning.

Suffolk officials say their emergency communications were called to an area around South Saratoga Street and Boat Street at approximately 11 a.m. fo the incident. 

When they got there, they found a man who needed emergency medical treatment. The man was immediately driven to a local hospital, but his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Police said he was later treated and released from the hospital.
