SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — No injuries were reported after a house fire broke out Saturday morning.
Emergency dispatchers say crews responded to the 100 block of South Capitol Street shortly after 9 a.m.
According to Suffolk Fire Battalion Chief Demitri Wilson, there was smoke coming from the second floor.
After half an hour, crews were finally able to extinguish the fire.
The residents of the home, two adults, will be displaced as a result of the fire. Neither of the residents were injured.
The American Red Cross will be providing assistance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
