Local school system takes on the initiative to help students feel included

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – The Special Olympics of Virginia partnered with Portsmouth City Schools on Wednesday to help build inclusion.

Portsmouth City Schools tweeted that they were, “proud,” to host the Special Olympics for elementary and preschool students with disabilities.

Students were able to take part in various races, and games that enhance their basketball and soccer skills.
