Charges withdrawn against man in Portsmouth barricade

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) -- Charges against a man who was arrested in connection to a barricade situation in Portsmouth have been withdrawn.

Court records show all charges against 22-year-old Jajuan Wells were nolle prossed -- or withdrawn -- this week. The charges included two counts of attempted second-degree murder and malicious wounding.

Police arrested Wells in May following an hours-long standoff at a home in the Port Norfolk area.

Police said Well had been wanted in connection to a shooting that happened two days prior, and left two men injured.
