PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a man is dead after an early morning shooting at a 7-Eleven in Portsmouth.

It happened just before 4 a.m. at the store at George Washington Highway and Elm Avenue, not far from Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Police have released few details, but did confirm a man was found at the scene with gunshot wounds. He later died at the hospital.

WAVY’s Kiahnna Patterson saw two vehicles at the scene being towed away, with four bullet holes in one of them.
