Man dead following shooting on Wyoming Ave. in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a man has died following a shooting in Norfolk.

According to police, dispatchers received a call around 10:50 p.m. Wednesday for a gunshot victim in the 2500 block of Wyoming Avenue. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man inside a house suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with critical injuries.

The victim, identified as 35-year-old Michael Corbin, died from his injuries on September 13.

Police have not released additional information regarding the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
