Police investigating reported shooting in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police in Norfolk received reports of a shooting Friday evening.

According to dispatch, the shooting occurred around 6:20 p.m. in the 900 block of E Virginia Beach Blvd. The initial report for the incident came in as a gunshot disturbance with a possible gunshot victim.

When officers arrived at the scene, they determined that no one had been shot during the incident, however, a man was transported to a local hospital for a minor injury he sustained during a fall.

Police say they are still investigating the reports of a shooting.
