Police: Person injured in Norfolk stabbing, suspect in custody

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police arrested one person after a stabbing incident that injured a man in Norfolk Tuesday night. 

Norfolk dispatchers tell WAVY.com there was a call about a stabbing in the 5300 block of Piney Branch Court — not far from Military Circle — just after 9:30 p.m.

Norfolk Police said the victim, a male, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. The man told police that he was involved in a verbal argument with 33-year-old Suquin Johnson and was cut by Johnson during the argument. 

Police later arrested Johnson and charged him with malicious wounding and is currently being held without bond.
