NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police in Norfolk are investigating after a man was shot Thursday evening.

According to police, the shooting happened around 5:40 p.m. at a gas station in the 700 block of Chapel Street. That is off East Brambleton Avenue.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man who had been shot in the arm. He was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is on-going.
