NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a man who crashed his motorcycle early Friday morning in Norfolk is in critical condition.
Dispatch said they received the call around 1:30 a.m. for the accident in the 7000 block of Azalea Garden Road. The 24-year-old man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the preliminary investigation showed the man lost control after hitting a curb. At this time, investigators say speed appears to be a contributing factor. There’s no indication alcohol was a factor at this time.
The investigation is being handled by the Norfolk Police Departments Traffic Unit.
