Police investigating Miller Mart robbery in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a convenience store in Newport News Monday morning.

According to Newport News Police, officers were sent to the Miller Mart in the 900 block of J. Clyde Morris Boulevard around 6:45 a.m. Monday.

No further information has been released.

Police said the preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown male walked into the store and demanded “everything.”

Police said the clerk complied and the male left the business with an undisclosed amount of money.

Complete suspect details weren’t available as of Tuesday morning.

Police say the incident is still under investigation.
