NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a 15-year-old boy was injured in a shooting Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred in the 900 block of Forest Lake Court in Newport News.
Upon arrival, police say officers located the boy suffering from a gunshot wound not considered life-threatening.
He was transported by medics to a local hospital for further treatment.
There is no detailed suspect information at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
