NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Newport News Police responded to the scene of a shooting at the intersection of Roanoke Avenue and 33rd Street Tuesday evening, police confirmed.
The call came in at 8:23 p.m. for officers to respond to the 1100 block of 33rd Street. They arrived to find a man at the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital with injuries considered life-threatening, police said.
