NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A Newport News man pleaded guilty this week to charges in connection to the alleged abuse of a 6-month-old boy.

Police say Arrington was arrested in February 2018 after officers responded to the 100 block Robinson Drive for a “code blue” involving the child.

Arrington, who police say knows the victim, pleaded guilty on May 22 to charges of malicious wounding and felony child abuse and neglect.

A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 2.
