HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A  student with a medical emergency prompted a lockdown Thursday morning at Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, officials say.

Kellie Goral with Hampton City Schools said the high school was placed on a modified lockdown. A message regarding the lockdown was sent to parents and guardians.

The lockdown has since been lifted, according to Hampton dispatchers.
