HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a man was seriously injured following a shooting in Hampton Monday afternoon.
According to police, the incident occurred in the 200 block of Breckinridge Court just after 1:10 p.m. Monday.
When they got to the scene, they found a man who was struck by gunfire. He was sent to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, police provided an update that the man is in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation of the incident revealed that the victim appeared to have been shot inside his home. At that same time, police also responded to a vehicle fire on Custer Court. Authorities are now investigating whether the two incidents are related.
