Two people were displaced

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Firefighters in Chesapeake are investigating the cause of a fire that displaced two people early Wednesday morning.

Fire officials received the call at 1:13 a.m. and arrived on scene six minutes later to find smoke and flames coming from a single-story home located in the 400 block of Plummer Lane.

The fire was brought under control at 2:14 a.m.

There were no injuries.

Two adult occupants of the home were displaced and are staying with family.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
