New video of shooting suspect in the Chesapeake Pizza Hut attempted robbery

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) -- Police have released new security footage from a shooting that occurred Wednesday at a local Pizza Hut.

Chesapeake Police say Pizza Hut employee Don Lee and his fiancee were leaving work when a man armed with a gun ordered them back inside. He then demanded they open the safe.

When Lee said he could not, police say he was pistol whipped and shot in the stomach.

Lee was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and was reportedly released on Thursday.

The suspect has still not been identified. Police are hoping this footage can help. In the video, you can see the suspect entering and exiting the business.
