It’s once again time to go racing in Hampton, as Langley Speedway officially opened its gates for a 67th season. The longest-sanctioned short track in NASCAR enjoyed large crowds last summer, and is expected to do the same for several big events, including the return of the Denny Hamlin Short Track Shodown on April 19.

Hamlin, a Chesterfield native, will race alongside another big-name cup driver against some of the top late-model drivers for the top prize of $15,000. The event also benefits Hamlin’s charity foundation.
