Kroger launching grocery shipping service in Hampton Roads

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Kroger will expand its Kroger Ship service in Hampton Roads, according to a release the company published this week.

The grocery chain’s Mid-Atlantic spokesperson said Kroger Ship launched earlier this year in Cincinnati, Houston, Louisville, and Nashville.

The service allows customers to shop online and place orders for delivery. Kroger says deliveries can arrive at customers’ homes as quickly as the next day.

Products available include household goods and non-perishable food.

Kroger says if you spend more than $35, you will get free shipping. Otherwise shipping costs $4.99 per order.

During the rollout phase, shipping will be free and customers receive 15 percent off an order with promo code SHIP15 — which can only be used once.
