VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Investigators say a fire that damaged a house Wednesday morning in Virginia Beach was intentionally set.
Michael Barakey with the Virginia Beach Fire Department says crews were called to the Carolanne Farms section of the city just after 5 a.m., and found a fire on two floors of the house.
The house is in a neighborhood near the Kempsville Plaza Shopping Center. Officials say the fire was under control within 40, and marked out just after 6:30 a.m.
Challedon Drive was closed at S. Parliament and Bosworth Road while firefighters battled the flames. No injuries were reported.
