NORFOLK (WAVY) – He had to sweat it out a bit longer than the projections said he would have to, but all the waiting and working has paid off for Oshane Ximines, who was selected to the New York Giants with the 95th overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Taken in the third round, Ximines is now the first player in the history of Old Dominion’s 10-year old program to hear his name called in the draft.
“Oshane Ximines is a scheme fit for us,” said Giants head coach Pat Shrumer, via the Giants’ Twitter account. “He’s played a lot of games, and gets a lot of sacks. As good a player he is, he’s an even better person.”
Ximines set school records for sacks in a career (33), and sacks in a season (12.5 in 2018).
