Virginia Nov. 4 COVID-19 update: 1,494 new cases, 37 new deaths; 947 currently hospitalized

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia reported another 1,494 new coronavirus cases and 37 new COVID-19 deaths on Thursday, and a small drop in COVID-19 hospitalizations.

Cases (just under 1,300 per day on average) and hospitalizations are still continuing to fall overall, and deaths have gone down overall since the most recent peak in October around 45 deaths per day (now 31 per day).
