Hampton police car broken into, windows smashed

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police say one of its vehicles was broken into over the weekend.

Police say the incident happened between 1:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on June 10.

The driver-side windows of an unmarked Hampton police Chevrolet Impala were smashed, and various “police-related” items were taken. 

Police say no firearms or other police weapons were taken. The case remains under investigation.
