HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police need the public’s help to identify the man involved in a Friday night shooting on Michigan Drive.
Officers say the shooting happened in the 600 block of Michigan Drive around 9:50 p.m. The victim, a 34-year-old man from Hampton, was suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. He was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police say the victim was standing in the area when he was approached by an unknown man who fired shots.
The suspect is described as roughly 6 feet tall with a stocky build and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a red hat with a black brim, and a white shirt.
